Now that the hernia is closed up, I don’t do the sea saltwater flush every day, typically I only flush to heavy diarrhea when my body feels like it needs it, typically after a few cheat days.
Somedays when I’m flushing on the SHP, I’ll go full board and drink loads of saltwater until the diarrhea starts, drinking sea saltwater extremely salty (12 grams or more of sea salt per liter of water). I drink and drink more until the crap starts to surge, a torrent comes ripping out in my ass in what feels like tidal waves. The diarrhea typically lasts 2-3 hours, sometimes even longer.
Then other days, I won’t go as heavy, I’ll drink the saltwater much slower, until a much lighter version of the diarrhea sets in, or it’s only slightly diarrhea, a mixture of hard and soft stools that come out, it’s not rushing out in torrential waves, and only lasts for an hour or less. I call it SHP lite. Typically it only takes about a liter of saltwater at about 12 grams per liter to get there, sometimes slightly more than a liter. I drink it much slower than the heavy flush days, so the diarrhea isn’t flushing out in waves for hours.
On the SHP lite days, I start with a 12 oz glass of saltwater at about 12 grams per liter, and sometimes that’s all it takes, I’ll wait an hour or 2 before drinking more. If the diarrhea lite hasn’t started, then I’ll drink another 12 oz glass, and then wait some more. Typically that’s all it takes to get it going.
If it’s a heavy flush day, I’ll drink 2-3 of the 12 oz glasses in quick succession. If it’s an SHP lite day, I’m drinking the sea saltwater much slower, trying to find the fine line, where diarrhea begins, not to over do it. This is especially helpful if I have activities to perform in the afternoon (I typically flush in the mornings).
Sometimes a heavy flush day is just too much, and I struggle to drink the saltwater too, it’s not pleasant; I have to force it down. I’m so thankful on the days that it only takes one 12 oz glass to get the SHP lite flush going.
After the flush starts I stop dissolving the salt in my water, and instead just throw the salt straight in my mouth and then wash it down with plain water, and it’s much easier to drink it that way. I’ve tried to flush by putting the salt in my mouth and then washing it down with water, but I’ve never been able to achieve diarrhea that way. To get the diarrhea, it seems I need to dissolve the salt in my water before drinking it. With that, once diarrhea has arrived, for the rest of the day, I just put the salt in my mouth first, before drinking it all down.
On the days I don’t feel like I need to flush, or maybe I’m traveling or have lots of work to accomplish, I won’t dissolve sea salt in my water at all. I throw the salt in my mouth first, and then wash it down with water, just like I do on the flush days, after the flush has arrived; I’m still getting the plasma, just not enough salt to achieve diarrhea.
